Take a look inside an abandoned ‘clown house,’ an eerie home one photographer says he’ll never forget

Bryan Sansivero has gone through years shooting deserted structures across the US. He’s investigated abandoned clinics, ventured inside homes frozen on schedule, and surprisingly distributed a book of his eerie photos, “American Decay: Inside America’s Forgotten Homes.”

Sansivero gauges he’s been to many deserted houses. Few out of every odd home merits shooting, he told Insider, and only one out of every odd one is instilled in his memory.

In any case, a house in Catskills, New York, is one of the most special homes he said he’s investigated because of its bazaar themed rooms.

“I’ve never discovered a house where each room is so unique in relation to the past room as far as all out shading, the rot, and the general look,” he said.

After seeing the home on Instagram, Sansivero tracked down its address in upstate New York. With his camera gear packed, he first traveled to the abandoned, circus-themed mansion in 2019.

A house with chipping backdrop, lively tones, and an odd comedian topic fired springing up on Sansivero’s Instagram feed in 2019.

Nicknamed the “Catskill Clown House” on the web, it was the ideal blend of Sansivero’s inclinations.

It was shocking, new, unpleasant, and beautiful — all that he’s attracted to, he told Insider.

Sansivero said he realized he needed to photo it, on the whole, he expected to discover the location. In the wake of contacting other metropolitan voyagers, he at last found the house’s area and gone to Catskills, New York, to photo the house.
